Top airport transfer Gatwick services and top destinations in London
Top Gatwick airport transfers services and London travel attractions? There’s also popular Hampstead Heath in the northwest, one of the city’s most-loved green spaces, which boasts great views. There are swimming ponds to cool off during summer and plenty of space to stretch out. It might seem odd to visit London and spend your time in a park, given there are parks and green spaces right across the world. I did not appreciate how valuable proximity to green spaces would be until I had been in London for several months. When it is a nice day, these spaces really come alive, as people from all walks of life enjoy them peacefully together. The novelty of walking barefoot across the grass and grabbing a cheeky nap in the sunshine after a lovely picnic lunch is one of my favorite things to do on a nice day.

Displaying one of the most comprehensive collections of paintings in the world, the National Gallery is London’s second-most visited museum. The collections, which present an almost complete cross-section of European painting from 1260 until 1920, are especially strong in the Dutch Masters and the Italian Schools of the 15th and 16th centuries. In the Italian galleries, look for works by Fra Angelico, Giotto, Bellini, Botticelli, Correggio, Titian, Tintoretto, and Veronese, and especially for Leonardo da Vinci’s Madonna and Child with St. Anne and John the Baptist, Raphael’s The Crucifixion, and The Entombment by Michelangelo. In the German and Dutch galleries are works by Dürer, van Dyck, Frans Hals, Vermeer, and Rembrandt. Among artists from the 18th century through 1920, standout works are by Hogarth, Reynolds, Sargent, Gainsborough, Constable, and Turner. French works include those by Ingres, Delacroix, Daumier, Monet (including The Water-Lily Pond), Manet, Degas, Renoir, and Cezanne.

The Universities of Oxford and Cambridge – the oldest (and, for a long time, the only) universities in England and Wales – have a rivalry going back a long way. These days it’s a friendly one, acknowledging the academic prowess and similarities between the two university cities: both have beautiful buildings, world-famous university alumni, iconic publishing houses, respected libraries, brilliant museums and rivers running through their heart where students, locals and visitors can be found floating around on punts. Visit both and then decide who you want to cheer on during the annual Boat Race between the two universities on the Thames in London.
Meet the animals at ZSL London Zoo. The inhabitants include penguins, lions, meerkats, reptiles and gorillas. See the animals in action at daily talks and displays – including giraffe high tea and otter snack time. Take in the stunning architecture of iconic London landmark, Westminster Abbey and find out about the part it played in British history. Explore the setting for ceremonial events, including royal weddings, coronations and funerals.
Gatwick has a few great hotels within the airport at reasonable price points, but one of my favourites is definitely the Yotel in the South Terminal. You basically walk straight out of arrivals and there’s a lift on your left that brings you down to Yotel. It’s half Japanese pod hotel, half spaceship! The colour theme is white and purple and the lighting is soft and muted. Free Coffee, tea and bottled water is included in the room price and can be gotten from reception 24/7. The shower head is rainfall (dream). The free wifi is great. Room service is available if you’re feeling lazy, though there are plenty of options to choose from in the terminal. The rooms are compact, but that matches the price point and there’s still plenty of room for a suitcase. See additional information on https://www.airporttransfersonline.co.uk/.
