Vanessa Grundy and the fine wildlife art
Let’s discuss the best locations where a wildlife artist can get the maximum inspiration. For the photography enthusiast this reserve is a must visit place for you. Located at the South west side of Kenya, Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the greatest wildlife reserves here. I am sure you have definitely heard about the Wild Beast Migration or the Great Migration which takes places here. And if not then guys you should add this place on your bucket list. Photographers visit this place every year to take some of their best shots and believe me guys you will absolutely find that perfect shot here. You will also find some other wildlife here like Masai lions, African leopards and Tanzanian cheetahs and Thomson’s gazelle.
India: The diverse habitats of Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh, composed of grasslands, forests and bamboo bush, are home to around 100 of India’s tigers. You’ll spend most of your time out on safari, so the holidays can be pretty full on. Naturalist guides here have led internationally renowned photographers, so you’re in good company. Kanha can be easily combined with Keoladeo National Park for bird watching, too.
I hope to be able to produce at least 24 paintings in 24 hours and all of the originals produced during the 24 hours will be given to the highest donators who have donated more than £30, with the most generous donator getting first choice and so on. My theme for the event is African wildlife and as many of you know, I do love to paint big cats, so there will be some big cats in the originals produced on the day. You can follow me live as I complete my paintathon challenge as I will be doing live video feeds via facebook and Instagram throughout the 24 hours and posting regularly on both with updates on my progress Facebook @Vanessa.Grundy.Artist Instagram @vlgstudios. And of course, you can follow my progress and find out more on here. Read even more details on Wildlife Artwork.
In WIRES history we have never seen a concurrent series of emergencies events like those that began in November. Hundreds of fires over weeks have burnt over 4 million hectares of land in NSW alone. Many animals were already struggling with a lack of water and food due to the drought. With the fires destroying unprecedented amounts of habitat, food shortages have increased and lack of suitable habitat will be a significant long-term challenge for surviving wildlife. Make a purchase from today until the 10th of January 2020 and know that your money is going to a very meaningful cause!
2015 – Teenage Entrepreneur Market, Stoke: I took the opportunity to take a sizeable stand at a busy shopping location in Stoke-on-Trent, where I exhibited and offered for sale many of my original pieces and prints. 2012 – Williamson Art Gallery Spring Exhibition: For this competition, I entered a piece that I had completed whilst at school. Inspired by the artwork of Jason Morgan, I used acrylic paints to depict the majesty of a silver back gorilla. Discover even more information at vlgstudios.com.
